Primary Care Expectations

Dear Patients,

At Lavender Spectrum Health, we want to provide you with the best possible primary care services and for us to have a good, therapeutic long term relationship.  A strong primary care relationship is a collaborative effort, meaning that effective care is achieved when both the patient and provider understand needs and expectations.  Please take the time to read through these important guidelines and expectations regarding obtaining care with Lavender Spectrum Health. 

Please note, we do NOT provide evaluations for purposes of SSI/SSDI and Long-Term Disability Insurance eligibility. 

Understanding Regarding Appointments 

We understand that financial and logistical challenges can affect how frequently individuals seek healthcare, including costs, time off work, and childcare arrangements. These factors can lead to a desire to address multiple issues in a single visit or through portal messages between visits. However, Lavender Spectrum Health providers see many patients throughout the day, and we can only effectively treat certain issues within an allotted time frame, and we really try to run on time for the next patient.   

We can usually address two issues in a 30 min established patient appointment (depending on the issue). We are happy to change our agenda for the day if there is something pressing you would like us to address.

Below are some guidelines on appointments that that will help us take the best care of you now and in the future:

Medication and Treatment Limitations

Additionally, please understand that there are some medications or treatments that may not be within our scope of practice to treat you for or prescribe for you.  For example, we are commonly asked about Ketamine, and Lavender Spectrum Health providers are unable to prescribe this medication at this time. 

Insurance Coverage/Benefits Eligibility 

Regarding insurance, we do not have the resources to check your insurance benefits (ie. what is a covered service, how much you will have to pay prior to labs, imaging, or other specialty services) or what your insurance coverage is (ie. what specialists or imaging facilities are in your network).
